Married at First Sight returned for the third season amidst a lot of negativity. There were speculations that the third season of Married at First Sight isn’t going to see the light of the day given that the second season wasn’t successful at all.
In spite of reports that the show will be replaced by another show called Seven Year Switch, Married at First Sight Season 3 did return with another three couples.
The show is based on the premise that love is an emotion that can be caused to happen by bringing in two very similar individuals.
The social experiment had been successful in the first season where two of the couples are still together and are thinking of expanding their family, but the second season was an unsuccessful one since all the couples ended up divorcing immediately after the show ended.
Married at First Sight Season 3 has brought together three couples- David and Ashley, Tres and Vanessa and Sam and Neil. The couples have already gotten married after overcoming their initial hiccups and are getting to know each other. None of the couples consummated on the night of their marriage since they felt that it was more important to get to know the person they are married to.
David and Ashley have come out to be the couple that has started on the right foot. They both like each other and are happy with the pairing. The couple talks about intimacy and wanting to spend more time with each other. There are rumors that the two of them will take their marriage to the next level in the sixth episode.
Tres and Vanessa have also started well. The two have a romantic dinner on the first night of their honeymoon and get to know each other better. There is a connection between the two of them. However, Vanessa is struggling with an internal fear and she will have to tackle it before it has a bad impact on her marriage.
The last couple, Sam and Neil reminded the viewers of all the negative reviews that Married at First Sight has garnered. The couple has not yet reached an understanding and Sam doesn’t seem to put any effort into the relationship.
She keeps on repeating that she only has platonic feelings for her husband and in episode 5 of Married at First Sight, Neil says that his ego has been hurt by the way Sam reacts to him. Neil confronts Sam and asks her to stop badmouthing him and Sam walks away saying that she has tried very hard.
Viewers are contemplating that Sam and Neil might not be able to continue with their marriage. The two might sit for counseling sessions and stay together until the show ends, but they are not meant to be together since they don’t get along ever since they have met each other. The other major issue that is eating up their relationship is the fact that the two of them do not communicate.
Zoe and Alex Hendrix who got married in the second season of Married at First Sight have come back for another reality show called A Current Affair. The two of them has started on the wrong foot on the day of their “marriage” on Married at First Sight when Zoe wasn’t happy with her man. However, the two have grown since that day and have also fallen in love.
