5 Seconds of Summer recently performed in Australia for the down under leg of their extremely popular tour ‘Rock Out with Your Socks Out.’ The boy band is known to have a huge fan following and frenzied, smitten girls are always spotted cheering them on. Luke Hemmings recently explained what their inspiration is for putting up such magical onstage performances.
According to Master Herald, Luke Hemmings has said that 5SOS owe their inspiration to the rock bands that performed in the 80s and the 90s. Bands like Bon Jovi, Green Day, Blink-182, Guns N’ Roses and Poison are some of the bands that the boys are a huge fan of.
The band members have grown up listening to these bands and they shape their performances and the way they conduct themselves on stage in the manner of their favorite bands.
The members of 5 Seconds of Summer- Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, Michael Clifford and Ashton Irwin are huge fans of the popular band Green Day and the ‘What I Like About You’ singers hope that there’s going to be a day when they will be able to rise to the stature of the band that they look up to.
The four boys are dedicated to their fans and they take extensive notes on the way Green Day performance and connect with the fans, to learn and inculcate those nuances while they are on tour.
