Some of her fans decided to defend her, saying that it is not mandatory for her to speak on social issues. Some other said that she should have spoken up regarding the tragedy since a lot of her fans are from the LGBT community. Meanwhile, Minaj is yet to respond on this backlash. She is quite busy promoting Don’t Hurt Me on social media by posting links to article or retweeting fans regarding this song. It came out on 15th June.

In other news, Meek Mill is out and a clip of his new track has released as well. Meek Mill rejoiced the end of his 3-month house arrest. It happened due to a parole violation with a Return of the Mill party that took place in Los Angeles on Friday night.

On Saturday, a new clip appeared, titled Froze. This low quality clip was shared on Twitter by DJ Akademiks. The particular song features Nicki Minaj, Meek’s better half. However, she doesn’t appear in the 30 second clip.

It also features Lil Uzi Vert, fellow Philadelphian who was recently included in XXL’s 2016 Freshman list. Meek Mil has been physically limited with the house arrest and it was further extended by eight days after he failed to meet the requirement regarding community service. He still managed to stay active and even performed with Beyonce during the Philly stop of her Formation Tour.
