Legends of Tomorrow is an American action-adventure television series that has been developed by Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, Phil Klemmer and Greg Berlanti. The show debuted on The CW in January 2016. The first season came to an end sometime back and it has been renewed for a second season.
Rumors regarding the upcoming season state that fans are likely to witness a crossover between The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. It was seen during the final episode of The Flash season 2 that Barry Allen aka The Flash went back in time to prevent The Reverse Flash from killing his mother.
This will likely trigger the Flashpoint Paradox storyline for the next season of The Flash. Chances are quite high that Barry’s actions will have an effect on other DC superhero shows that includes- Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow and Supergirl. Thus a crossover between The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow is totally possible at the moment.
That apart fans might also see a crossover between Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl in the upcoming season of the former. Apparently, Supergirl will see the entry of Snapper Carr in its next season.
Snapper Carr is a seasoned journalist who will be brought in to aid Cat Grant in the upcoming season of Supergirl. If comic books are to be followed, Snapper made his first appearance in the year of 1959. It was during this time that the Justice League was formed. Despite of not having any superpowers, Snapper was able to stop villain Starro and thus he was included in the Justice League.
He was also seen making a few appearances in Hourman comics during the 1999-2001 period. Now, it was seen that Hourman aka Rex Tyler was introduced to fans during the final episode of Legends of Tomorrow season 1.
He will be present in the upcoming season of the show and chances are that Snapper too might show up on it at some point of time. Thus it can be assumed that a crossover between Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl is also on the cards at the moment.
In other news, it has just come to light that superhero Vixen will be joining the cast of Legends season 2. Vixen aka Mari McCabe made her first appearance in The Arrow season 4 and the character was portrayed by Megalyn Echikunwoke. It was reported that it will not be Megalyn who will be playing the role of Vixen in Legends season 2.
Instead it will be played by some other actor as it has been revealed that an earlier version of Vixen from the past will be shown in Legends season 2. This version from the past will have some kind of a connection to the version that fans saw in The Arrow.
The version that was seen in The Arrow became quite popular among fans within a very short period of time. Fans were reportedly of the opinion that she should have a standalone series. Mark Pedowitz, the boss at The CW stated back then- “Hopefully that character could actually spin itself out; if not, maybe join as one of the Legends.”
Looks like the idea of incorporating Vixen in Legends is indeed materializing and it is definitely good news for fans. The Legends team lost two important members in the previous season, they being- Hawkgirl and Captain Cold. So it is likely that more superheroes will be roped in to fill up the places that has been left by these two.
