Coming to the matter of Sony, reports state that the company has already released the update for some of its devices which include the smartphones of the Z5 and the Z5 Compact lineup. Some other smartphones from the company that are poised to receive the update include- Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia C4, Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia M4 Aqua, Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia M5, Xperia Z2 and Z2 Tablet.
Sony is reportedly going to hold a beta testing program for the latest Android 6.0.1 M for the Xperia Z2, Xperia Z3 and the Xperia Z3 Compact. Users of these devices in Netherlands, Italy and Spain will only be able to participate in the program.
LG is also not far behind when it comes to the matter of rolling out the Marshmallow update for its devices. It had previously released the update for the LG V10 which came with a size of 850 MB. The build number of the update was MRA58K.
Sprint had already rolled out the update for the LG G Stylo back in December 2015 and the it was reported that another carrier, T-Mobile is currently releasing the update for the device. Another device, the LG G4 on Sprint also received the OS overhaul in December 2015. T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon reportedly rolled out the update for the G4 in the previous month.
