Final Fantasy XV is an upcoming action role-playing game that is being developed by Square Enix. The game will be released for the platforms of Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It will be the fifteenth game of the Final Fantasy franchise.
Various rumors about the game have been doing rounds on the internet for quite some time Hajime Tabata, the director of the game recently stated in an interview with Famitsu that the game will come with 50 hours of gameplay. This 50 hour will only be covered by the main story-based campaign of the game.
It was also stated by him that the immense amount of volume of the game was not planned by the developers. It just happened during the entire development process of the game.
However, it should be noted that the time taken to complete the game will differ depending on the playing-style of individual players. That being said, it is safe to state the game will indeed be massive in terms of gameplay.
The side quests and other optional activities that will be included in the game will have their own gameplay time. It was also reported that the developers are currently trying to polish the frame rate of the game. Apparently, they are trying to make it so that the game runs at a constant rate of 30 frames per second.
Tabata pointed out that on certain instances the game is failing to hit the 30 frames per second mark. Thus, the developers are still hard at work with Final Fantasy XV and they will continue to polish and fine tune the game till it is finally released.
Some other details regarding the game were also revealed by Tabata. He stated that the developers have incorporated airships in the game. Another thing that the game will feature are the Cactaurs.
Fans of the Final Fantasy series are quite familiar with these pesky monsters that have on more than one occasions made appearances in previous games. These small monsters have a cactus like appearance and the possess the capability to move quite fast. This enables them to escape from Nocti’s attacks and other abilities like warping and Shift Breaks.
It was also revealed that Sony and Square Enix might work in collaboration to come up with a special Final Fantasy XV PlayStation 4 bundle that will come packed with the game alongside the console itself.
The announcement for the game was made a long time back and initially the developers decided to name it Final Fantasy Versus XIII. However, it later at the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo, the name of the game was changed from Final Fantasy Versus XIII to Final Fantasy XV.
Square Enix is going to hold a special event for the game that has been titled- Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV. It will kick off on March 30 at 7PM PDT. The event will be held at the Shrine Auditorium in Hollywood, California.
Square Enix had previously sold tickets for the event, however, all the tickets were sold out within a period of 24 hours and thus many fans were left without one. However, they need not worry as the event will be live streamed on YouTube.
A trailer has also been released for the event and in it, it has been stated that the Uncovered event will be “behemoth of an event.” A number of details regarding the game will reportedly be revealed during the event, one of them being its release date.
