Fans of Kingdom Hearts 3 are in for some good news as it was recently announced by Tetsuya Nomura that the developers are making significant progress with the development of the game and it will see the light of the day sometime in the future. The announcement of the game came back in 2013 at the E3.
Nomura further stated that the developers would come forward with more news as the game reaches the middle point of its developmental process. Fans are currently speculating that the game might hit the market sometime in 2017.
Various rumors surrounding the game are suggesting that the developers might incorporate two new characters from the Disney world into it. These two rumored characters are Winnie The Pooh and Tigger, both renowned faces of the Disney universe.
At a Q&A which was held at the Albuquerque Comic Con 2016, Jim Cummings who is the voice behind the characters of Winnie The Pooh and Tigger revealed that these characters will be a part of the upcoming game. This was what sparked the rumors regarding these characters being incorporated into Kingdom Hearts 3.
It is a well-known fact that the renowned voice actor has previously worked with Disney and has also given voice to these two characters in previous iterations of Kingdom Hearts games. Appearance of Cummings at a conference further fueled the rumors.
He stated at the conference that the task of voicing some of the Japanese characters in the game posed some difficulty for the voice actor, however he did not face any such difficulties while doing the voice-over for Tigger. He pointed out that the task of voicing Tigger was a fun experience for him.
Some of the Disney characters that have been confirmed for the game include the likes of Goofy and Donald Duck. The entire cast of Big Hero 6 is also set to make an appearance in the upcoming game.
Big Hero 6 has been created based on comic books by Marvel and thus it will be the first instance of Marvel characters setting foot into the universe of Kingdom Hearts. The characters of Pooh and Tigger have previously made appearance in the first game of the series.
A popular website reported that the storyline of Kingdom Hearts 3 will be created by taking inspiration from Toy Story. It is being speculated that the developers would focus on the story of Buzz Light Years Space Ranger Spin to develop the storyline of the upcoming game.
Speculations are running wild regarding the Nobody that was showed off at the teaser trailer of the game. Nomura was asked by a fan to shed some more light on the design of the character which was seen wielding a scythe as a weapon.
Previous rumors regarding this Nobody suggested that this scythe wielding character was a throwback to a character by the name of Marluxia who had made an appearance in an earlier iteration of the game which was titled Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.
The fan asked Nomura whether this character was previously a member of the Organization. Nomura answered this question by stating that, while it is quite easy to think so, fans should wait for the developers to release the promotional materials which will provide further insights about this character.
Nomura had earlier stated that some fans of the series are already familiar with this character and this sparked rumors that it might actually be a former Organization member.
