This could include worlds from stories like Frozen, Star Wars and much more and frankly speaking, it could also mean a Marvel world as well. Moreover, Kingdom Hearts 3 could also be used to advertise new movies like Big Hero 6 and Finding Dory. However, a few retro classics should be included as well.
Tetsuya Nomura has often indicated that Kingdom Hearts 3 won’t be the last game in the series. However, this could mean the end of the Xehanort storyline which was carried throughout the first two numbered games along with a few spinoffs as well. As a result, a satisfying conclusion is definitely necessary. Developers should also keep in mind not to overwhelm players with too many new features.
A numbered title means a lot to a Kingdom Hearts purist. It means having a combat style along with a general feel in line, comparable to the original PS2 games. Attraction Flows and Keyblade Transformations are new elements that should exist but players should enjoy the choice of using them.
If it is desired, the entire game should be beatable with a complete hack and slash method. It has been a long time since Kingdom Hearts 2 was released and Square Enix is probably under a lot of pressure to include tons of new stuff for Xbox One and PS4. The developers need to make sure that the learning curve isn’t overwhelming or the purists will soon lose interest.
