Now, if Marvel Studios decides to go ahead and make Iron Man 4, they will have to rework the contract for Robert Downey Jr. and have to pay him an amount that they might not be able to afford. It is because of this reason that they aren’t keen on Iron Man 4 and even if they go ahead with the film, they are going to go for a younger actor.
Marvel is bringing in a new set of heroes with Civil War, which hints at the fact that it is heading towards closing the chapter for Iron Man. Thor 3: Ragnarok is also going to be the last standalone film for Thor. There are rumors that the billionaire superhero might be killed off in Civil War or in Avengers: Infinity War.
The die-hard Iron Man fans aren’t ready to accept this news. They feel that Marvel will announce Iron Man 4 sometime in 2020 when it has plans to release Cyborg and Green Lantern Corps.
There is a third movie that Marvel is planning to release during that time and rumor has it that it is Iron Man 4. Marvel has announced three films in 2020, to be released in May, July and November. While studio has revealed the name of two of the films, there is a lot of secrecy surrounding the last one.
