The report by KdramaStars declares that a logo and a teaser poster for Half-Life 3 were leaked on Valve’s website. Reyes further declared that Valve has removed all traces of it since then. Keep in mind that this isn’t the first time this has happened. A few months ago Half-Life 3 was discovered in the official Steam Database but Valve removed it as soon as it was discovered.
An earlier report from Master Herald predicted that Half-Life 3 would finally make an appearance in E3. When that didn’t happen, fans lashed out on online forums and demanded why it isn’t coming soon enough. The report further stated that the Half-Life franchise might even change hands but gamers might not like it.
However, it was Vine Report that provided the ultimate sense of hope. According to them, Valve has admitted through Kotaku that they are currently working on some Virtual Reality Projects using Half-Life assets. It could mean that Valve is creating Half-Life 3 on VR.
According to Jeep Barnett of Valve, “So yeah, we’ll grab some headcrabs, we’ll grab the machine guns from Half-Life, the rocket launcher-all those different fun things-and see how they play in VR. But right now, it’s a tool for exploring the different kind of game designs we want to do,”
Stay tuned for more updates on Half-Life 3!
L4D3 + HL3 + TF3 + Portal 3 ($240 retail value) will come packaged free with the Vive ($350-450)to offset the cost (remember Valve doesn’t make games for profit anymore, they make them for fun). They will sell them separately for people who aren’t interested in VR and turn a profit. You’ll see more of this at Gamescom this year.
Well, if it came from Jason Bourne and not Borne, I would have believed it.
