Last July, a report by Gazette Review indicated that the GoPro Hero 5 was supposed to release in October but then it was delayed. According to the report, GoPro Hero 5 will probably be released by the end of 2015 or early 2016. Suggestions now indicate that the former will probably be more likely.
Apple Insider reports that the Hero 4 Session has been given a $100 drop in price. This compact GoPro device comes with a price tag of $300. The price cut further coincides with the release of the Hero+ and that is currently priced at $200. The latter device comes with slight updates over the original and it comes with WiFi and Bluetooth support as well. The device has the ability to record 1080p videos at a frame rate of 60fps.
Meanwhile, adrenaline junkies and thrill-seekers worldwide are waiting to have a glimpse of the upcoming GoPro Hero 5 and the impact that it will have on the present action camera market. It should come with the ability to capture 8K resolution videos which would make the output quite clear and crisp, especially when you are taking your GoPro for a ride on adventures.
Presently, the market for 4K media and content is gradually increasing and 4K TV sets and monitors are still quite expensive. However, some of the models are already being offered at a reasonable price. Compared to 4K, 8K looks much better for the same reason that 4K looks better than full HD resolution. It offers incredible detail and when the video is downsized to a lower resolution, the quality remains great.
If a 4K video is downsized to full-HD, it will look much better compared to a video which is already in full HD 1080p resolution. Furthermore, there will be less noise since the pixels are compressed and suited better to fit in a lower resolution. Reports indicate that the portable GoPro Hero 5 will be powered by a A10 processor and will further come with the ability of sporting dual lens and it will allow it to capture 3D images as well.
Keep in mind that this device will be using a 2800mAh battery which can be used for a longer time. Furthermore, the GoPro Hero 5 should be smaller in size, compared to the previous model, according to Vine Report. This further increases the portability of the device.
The device will also be 40 percent lighter than before. The device can now be submerged under 60 meters of water for those people who prefer diving underwater. The new model should also include a new water-proof case.
It was rumored that the GoPro Hero 5 should launch in 5th October but the company has further delayed it and it should hopefully launch next year. This has been considered to be a business strategy since the company already released a new device earlier this year.
The GoPro Hero 5 should be priced around $550 and it will be released sometime in 2016. According to rumors, this device will come with brand new features and capabilities and at the same time, it will be costlier than its predecessor.
With the camera being lighter and faster, people are already quite excited about it. Further, this device has been rumored to withstand a depth of 60 meters which further heightens the excitement for this product.
GoPro has always been the winner in the action-camera market while being used by motorcycle enthusiasts, car enthusiasts and stunt-riders worldwide. The Hero 5 should come with groundbreaking abilities that make it one of the most powerful video-graphic tools in the entire world. The action camera has been expected to come with a better battery and therefore it should be able to support video-playback for up to 2 hours or more.
Any information about the lens? I hope no fisheye lens anymore. Instead they should focus swappable lenses, so no fixed lens anymore. Also, optical image stabilization is more than just needed. 3D I don’t care..
