Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae Features New Update with Additional Character Information, And More

Final Fantasy XV Episode Duscae offers the waiting fans, a long-awaited taste of Final Fantasy XV. Presently, Square Enix launched a new update for the demo version, known as “Version 2.0”.

It features major changes that have been requested through community feedback and at the same time, adds several new characters. The updates and patches for game demos are quite rare and Dan Seto, the Square Enix community manager has called it “the very first time a demo has been patched or updated”.

However, the recent changes in this version of Episode Duscae go far beyond the normal bug fixes. The demo currently features, additional side quests, new combination attacks that use all four party members and also the ability to fight against the behemoth, water-dwelling, Catoblepas Monster.

Seto says that it takes 20 minutes to defeat this giant when all four characters are at level 99 and it can still knock you out in one hit. The latest Episode Duscae features additional character interactions and Square Enix hopes to convey the game’s central theme of friendship in a much better manner.

The developers are no longer acknowledging player feedback through its demo survey but Seto mentions that most of the gamer suggestions that were received by the team have already made its way to the demo. It includes new features and abilities like buying and selling in large quantities, specific uses for the dropped items along with richer environmental effects.

Meanwhile, Square Enix will host its own press conference in this year’s E3 but you shouldn’t expect to see too much of Final Fantasy XV on display. It was earlier reported in April that the publisher was awaiting its next great reveal to take place in Gamescom. It will take place this summer instead of the show next week.

However, Square Enix has many other high-profile characters to show off this year and it includes Kingdom Hearts 3 besides the recently announced Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

In other news, one of the greatest video game titles of all time has found a new platform for itself. A fresh new audience can experience its supreme greatness. Square Enix’s classic Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions is presently available on Android. A digital copy of this title will cost $13.99 for fans and newcomers.

This version is actually based on the IOS version that was released earlier in 2011. As a result, this port has been coming towards for a long time now. When hardcore Final Fantasy gamers consider the mobile versions, they will suggest that this is a definitive way of playing the game.
