Fast and Furious 8: Will There Be A CGI Version of Brian O’Conner? Vin Diesel Hints at Spinoff, And More

This statement about a possible spin-off was echoed by Donna Langley, the Chairman of Universal Pictures. She hinted at the fact that given the kind of popularity that each of the characters enjoyed, fans are very keen on knowing their individual stories in detail, which helps reveal a demand for spinoffs from the Fast and Furious franchise.

Langley informed International Business Times that they are thinking of branching out. She said that they are definitely in conversation about broadening the reach of the series. Fast and Furious has an ensemble cast and there is a lot of room to explore the story of each character and also bring in more characters.

There were a lot of rumors about who will be the one to sit on the director’s chair for Fast and Furious 8. It was a tough fight between Louis Leterrier, F. Gary Gray and Adam Wingard. Ultimately, it was F. Gary Gray who announced the news of him being the director for Fast and Furious 8 on Twitter.

Fast and Furious 8 will have the old group comprising of Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodrigues, Chris Bridges, Jason Statham, Jordana Brewster, Kurt Russell and Tyrese Gibson returning to reprise their respective roles.
