Fast and Furious 8: Brian O’Conner Won’t Be a Part of the Movie, Jordana Brewster Unsure About Her Comeback, And More!

Fast and Furious 7 was the last time that Paul Walker was seen on screen. He died while he was already filming for it and the screenplay was changed to give his story a happy ending and to enable the plot of the film to continue without him.

The last part of Fast and Furious 7 had seen Paul Walker’s brother Cody Walker play the role of Brian O’Conner so that the remaining part of Paul’s scenes could be wrapped up.

Fast and Furious 8 showed Brian O’Conner driving off into the sunset to a happy life. The film went on to become a huge success and now there are talks about Fast and Furious 8 coming onto the theaters pretty soon.

There were rumors that Cody Walker will be asked to fill in the role of Paul Walker for the scenes where Brian O’Conner will be needed.

Although there wasn’t any confirmation on this matter, Master Herald has reported that Cody Walker might be asked to come back as Paul O’Conner for some flashback scenes in Fast and Furious 8.

If this wasn’t too much, there were speculations that Paul Walker’s character will be brought back to life in Fast and Furious 8 with the help of CGI. There was a general sentiment that the fans are only keen on seeing Paul Walker as Brian O’Conner back on screen and they wouldn’t mind a bad CGI even.

However, this is a very sensitive place to tread since fans might also take offense at the fact that Paul Walker wasn’t depicted properly on screen.

To stop all these rumors, NBC Universal Pictures’ Vice Chairman Ron Meyer confirmed that Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner will not be present in Fast and Furious 8. There might be a mention of the character in the upcoming film, but he will not be seen as a character.

According to Movie News Guide, Cody Walker’s name has been removed from the IMDb page although there are reports that he might be a part of Fast and Furious 8. There are possibilities that Cody Walker might not feature in the eighth installment, but might be back for the remaining two films that are set to end the franchise.

There is also a lot of speculation about whether Jordana Brewster who plays the role of Mia Toretto O’Conner will return for Fast and Furious 8. The plot for Brian O’Conner stated that he and his wife Mia go away to have a safe life together.

He wants to get away from all the dangerous things in life so that he can have a safe life with Mia, who is pregnant with their second baby.

With Brian O’Conner’s character being written off, Mia was also written off and this meant that Jordana Brewster might not be back in an important role.

However, Mia is also the sister of Dominic Toretto played by Vin Diesel and this might guarantee her return into the franchise. However, this will depend on how keen fans are to see Mia back in Fast and Furious 8 without Brian.

Jordana Brewster said that she still isn’t sure about whether her character will be brought back for Fast and Furious 8. Even though Jordana Brewster isn’t sure about the role, Vin Diesel, Dwayne Jackson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson and Kurt Russell have all confirmed that they will be back to reprise their roles in Fast and Furious 8.

There are rumors that Eva Mendes might also return to the franchise as Agent Monica Fuentes.
