Evans Reveals Captain America Civil War Is Foundation for Avengers: Infinity War, Martin Freeman Joins Cast, And More Details

While Marvel fans all over the world are still basking in the frenzy created by Avengers Age of Ultron, the attention is already on the upcoming Captain America Civil War movie. According to major reports, the movie will draw a line in the sand and divide the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Chris Evans, who plays the role of Captain America, recently talked to MTV and called it the set-up for the real battle to take place in 2018-2019s Avengers: Infinity War.

Evans said that its time to jump off into the next Avengers: Infinity War. He further revealed that Captain America Civil War will be the primary foundation of this upcoming epic battle; hence, it will feature a lot of characters. Meanwhile, Jeremy Renner (Hawk-Eye) and Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) knows the side they’ll be on, in Captain America Civil War. Sadly, they don’t wish to divulge the information for now.

Mark Ruffalo felt left out and declared that he won’t be in the film to which Scarlett replied that, “Well, you never know, there’s always time…I’ll talk to Russos about it.” The cast for Captain America Civil War keeps growing and Anthony Mackie has called it Avengers 3.8.

Besides Renner, Johansson and Evans, Captain America Civil War will also feature additional characters like Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Anthony Mackie as The Falcon, Daniel Bruhl as Baron Helmut Zemo, Frank Grillo as Crossbones, and Chadwick Boseman in his MCU debut as Black Panther along with the new Spiderman.

The film will be directed by the Russo Brothers who also hold the reigns for the upcoming two-part Avengers: Infinity War movie. Reports indicate that Captain America will release in theaters on 6th May, 2016.

Meanwhile, Marvel’s Captain America Civil War has again been refreshed by the addition of Martin Freeman, who will make his debut in the Captain America movie franchise. Producer Kevin Fiege declared that his roles as Bilbo Baggins in LOTR and Hobbit, Doctor Watson to Tim in ‘The Office’ have consistently impressed them.
