Elder Scrolls 6 Likely to Focus More on the Story, Rumors Indicate A 2019 Release!

Almost all Bethesda fans have been waiting for any news on Elder Scrolls 6. The latest reports indicate that the upcoming game is all set to release next year but according to VP of PR and marketing at Bethesda Softworks, Pete Hines, it won’t be like that. As a result, Elder Scrolls 6 will not be releasing anytime soon.

During an interview with The Telegraph, Pete Hines mentioned that Elder Scrolls 6 is really going to happen. In fact, he actually uttered the words Skyrim 2. You can imagine this led to a certain type of reaction among the Skyrim fans.

In the meantime, all the rumors which suggested that Elder Scrolls 6 would be based on Morrowind or Oblivion can now be debunked. During the interview, Pete Hines mentioned, “It’s rare to have franchises like the ones we have and to have people joking about ‘when is Skyrim 2 coming out?’

The reason they say that is because generally speaking that’s what you’d be getting with another publisher in charge. They’d be spitting out a Skyrim 2 the year after or two years later. That’s just not how we view it.

We’re not the sort of publisher that focuses on ‘what are our 25 titles for 2015′.” He further continued, saying that they do small stuff which is not for scale. All they try to do is publish in quality rather than in quantity.

In that way, they make sure that everything done by Bethesda is certainly noteworthy. The company’s approach to that hasn’t changed at all. At some point of time, they might change their approach in minor ways in order to suit something but overall, they will always remain the same.

During an interview with DualShockers at Gamescom 2015, he further stressed on the fact that Elder Scrolls 6 or Skyrim 2 won’t be happening anytime soon. The report said, “Hines mentioned that he doesn’t think we’re close to hear about the next Elder Scrolls.

Currently Bethesda is working on Fallout 4, and that takes the entire studio, which is 100% focused on it.” Bethesda will not be splitting teams and from the looks of it, we will be seeing Elder Scrolls updates by 2017 since we already have Fallout 4 and DLCs will be released for it. Keep in mind that Bethesda releases a new Elder Scrolls game every four years.

So, it is logical to expect that the next Elder Scrolls game will be seen in 2019. Bethesda recently announced that they will be present in E3 2016 and part of the announcement consisted of images from the different upcoming games of the studio.

And thankfully, one of the photos showcased back then was from Elder Scrolls 6. This could mean that Bethesda is actually working on The Elder Scrolls 6 for some time. When it comes to the location of the game, there has been a debate raging on between Valenwood and Elsweyr. There is also a debate between Argonia, Skyrim 2 and Redguard regarding the title of Elder Scrolls 6.

However, you can definitely scratch off Redguard off your list since there is already a game called The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard. It has been a long time since a single player game was released by Bethesda.

People are further requesting that Elder Scrolls 6 should be a multiplayer game. However, the single player lovers can rest easy since it is highly doubtful that Bethesda will ever let Elder Scrolls 6 join the multiplayer bandwagon.
