This announcement was made by Ted Sarandos, the CEO of Netflix at the Television Critics Association press tour. Sarandos hasn’t revealed the specific date for Luke Cage, but The Defenders is expected to hit Netflix in 2017 and so will Iron Fist. Since Netflix releases two Marvel shows in a year, there is no slot for Daredevil Season 3.
The fans of Daredevil are confident that they will get to see Season 3 in 2018, but there is no confirmation on whether it is going to release in the first half of the year or the latter. The rumor that The Punisher is going to be a part of Daredevil Season 3 has been doing the rounds for a while now.
