One Punch Man was an unprecedented success in its initial run. The anime became very popular not just among the anime lovers, but also helped newbies start watching the anime. Now with One Punch Man ready for the second season, there is a lot of discussion on how the creator Yusuke Murata will work things out.
To begin with, there was always a fear that the anime might not see the second season, but then Murata had promised fans that he will make sure that the anime returns for the second time and will work hard to make it as fast as possible.
Ecumenical News reported that there is a possibility that the second season of One Punch Man might be released at the end of this year, or by early 2017. There is a lot of work that goes into creating an anime with a large number of sketches and drawings. However, Murata has been making his team work very hard to push the second season of One Punch Man out as soon as possible.
There are roughly 100 sketches, editing, storyboards and pages to be inked almost every day and all this have to be managed within a limited budget. Fans will be happy to know that Yusuke Murata has roped in Mad House and Shingo Natsume and their team to work for the animation in One Punch Man Season 2.
Movie News Guide has reported that with so many things to do, it is likely that One Punch Man Season 2 is going to be released in the next two years, but since Murata himself had promised the fans a second season, he is going to make sure that it comes out at the earliest.
The anime had been remade from an original manga by Yusuke Murata. However, unlike the other popular anime Attack on Titan, this one doesn’t have any clause that it cannot carry forward its story without the manga being four story arcs ahead.
It is usually the lack of commitment that affects the production of the manga and anime, but this doesn’t hold true for One Punch Man. Yusuke Murata has to work on not just One Punch Man, but also Mob Psycho 100 and there is a chance that the creator might not have enough time to work on One Punch Man and deliver it on time.
The finale of Season showed a huge fight between Lord Boros and Saitama, which saw the latter come out victorious. After the fight, Kamen Amai Mask came out to reveal that heroes belonging to the S-class couldn’t try to save the city and this will see another face-off between Saitama and Kamen.
There are speculation that One Punch Man Season 2 will see a new villain in Amai Mask and it is likely to be a character that the fans are already aware of. Given this, there is a possibility that Kamen might end up becoming a villain in Season 2.
Kamen Amai Mask is a hero of Class A Rank 1. He had been a good person, but has turned into the dark side because he feels that the S-class heroes have been responsible for the destruction of his city. Saitama has his powerful serious punch in his disposal, which he used to clobber Boros to the ground and fans are waiting to see the fight between him and Kamen.
