Call of Duty Black Ops 3: Hotfix Released for the Title, Next Update to Bring Fixes to Caster Mode, Awakening DLC On Its Way, And More

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is a first-person action shooting game developed by Treyarch and published by Activision in November, 2015. It is the sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and the latest addition to the immensely popular Call of Duty franchise.

Just in the recent past a hotfix for the game was released by the developers which worked towards buffing up some of the aspects of the game and fixing certain issues that the game had.

However, lack of any specific details regarding the details of the hotfix has resulted in fans having no idea as to what the hotfix would actually do for the game.

It was being believed by a part of Black Ops 3 community that the hotfix was released to address the Cryptokeys farming issue that the game had.

It is the general rule of the Gun Game mode of the Black Ops 3 to keep on granting Cryptokeys to players as long as they stayed in that particular mode of the game.

The more time a player spends in the Gun Game mode, the more Cryptokeys is given to him or her. Cryptokeys are granted even when they are doing nothing in the game as long as it is open in the Gun Game mode.

This particular feature is exploited by many fans who would just keep the game open in the Gun Game mode for hours without actually playing the game. This allowed them to keep on gaining Cryptokeys as per the rule of the mode.

Initially fans believed that the hotfix will remove this issue from the game, but latest reports state that the even after the fix is applied, players continue to exploit this feature and gain Cryptokeys in the process.

David Vonderhaar, the studio design director took to social media to criticize players who are taking advantage of the issue and also stated that another fix should be released soon which will finally resolve this issue, or else the game will cease to be enjoyable for fans anymore.

At the Call of Duty World League stream, Vonderhaar revealed that another update for the game will be made available to fans sometime in the middle of the current month. The update will reportedly bring some bugs and errors fixes to the game’s Caster mode.

The fixes to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s Caster mode that will be brought forth by the update include—fix for kill feed, fix for wrong team names, fix for the Color issue of the mode, fix for the EMP affecting caster mode and lastly a fix for the uplink indicator issue.

The update will also bring in the ability to save the custom settings created by players and will also allow players to auto activate the settings and rules of the COD World league at the push of a button.

In other news regarding the game, the first DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 was announced by its developers at the PlayStation Experience keynote.

Official announcements from both Treyarch and Activision stated that the upcoming DLC is being called the Awakening and it will be made available to fans early next year.

A brand new chapter will be added to the game’s popular Zombie mode and this chapter is known as Der Eisendrachen. No specific details were divulged by the developers about this episode but rumors are stating that this chapter will bring in hordes of flesh-hungry Nazi zombies to the game.

The expansion pack will also bring four new additional maps for the multiplayer mode of the game. These maps are- Skyjacked, Rise, Splash and Gauntlet.
