The Marvel Cinematic Universe will feature a fresh new character in Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. It’s none other than Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff. Reports indicate that she could be the most powerful. She was introduced in the Marvel Comics in 1960 and is a longtime member of The Avengers. However, in Avengers 2: Age of Ultron, she won’t be shown as a hero right from the beginning. With her brother Quicksilver/Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, they will be fighting the superheroes. Meanwhile, Actress Elizabeth Olsen declared how the powers of her character work. It seems like she can do a lot more than simply move things with her mind.
First and foremost, she’ll be able to intercept the Avengers’ emotions, and they won’t even be aware of it. She will see and experience what they see and experience. Olsen explained to IGN that it’s not at all about manipulation. In most superhero films, the emotions are negated. However, the best thing about Scarlet Witch is that she will go through the same experience involving what anyone else felt in their weakest moments. According to her, the biggest, darkest fear of a character will be easily perceived and understood by her.
Scarlet Witch will begin as an adversary but later she will join The Avengers. With her power of seeing and experiencing everything in the minds of The Avengers, Wanda should be able to know enough to stop fighting against these superheroes.
Meanwhile, according to Joss Whedon’s statement in Buzzfeed, she is capable of giving you a nightmare. He also confirmed that she is the reason Captain America’s former flame, Peggy Carter (actress Hayley Atwell), and Thor’s friend Heimdall (actor Idris Elba) appear in this film. The heroes will start seeing faces from their past, all due to her. The fans witnessed the actor’s names mentioned on the movie poster and started speculations regarding the flashbacks. If Wanda tries to take down The Avengers, she will probably induce nightmares rather than pleasant dreams.
