It is official! Persona 5 is going to be released on the 15th of September in Japan. The announcement has been made by the game developer, Atlus. While this is a great news for the fans of the game, the rest of the world is yet to find out when the new game, Persona 5, is going to be released for them.
While the fans from around the world are a little disappointed with no information about the release date, Atlus has found a way to cheer them up.
The developers have released a new trailer for the game that includes some portion of animation along with a footage of the gameplay. The five minutes long video has stunning visuals. It shows the landscape of downtown Tokyo along with a space station that clearly looks like it is based in the future.
The fans of Persona 5, who have watched the new trailer, have gone ahead to state that it is as bizarre as the game and even if they do not understand Japanese, they can confidently say that it is going to be an interesting one.
The trailer shows clearly how the main characters of the Persona 5, live a dual life. The characters lead a mundane life in the morning where they go to school, while by the evening they have become heroes who battle aliens and threats to the planet.
The gameplay for Persona 5 is similar to the ones that have been seen in the previous installments of the game. The players get to hang around Tokyo and make new friends and socialize and then they have to fight with the monsters, defeat them and progress along the main plot of the game.
Engadget has reported that Atlus had organized a special event for the release of the new trailer and the announcement of the official release date. They have only decided to release the game in Japan for now and will slowly move to release Persona 5 throughout the world. The developers had an interactive session with the fans, where they discussed interesting details about the gameplay in Persona 5
Persona 5 is reportedly going to be released on PlayStation 4. For now, there are no news if the game is going to be available in PS 3 and PS 4 when it releases worldwide. While the news of only being released in Japan, has disappointed the fans of Persona 5, they are happy that the game is at least rolling out since it has been a long wait.
Atlus had first announced the game back in 2013 and then said that Persona 5 will be available for sale on the PlayStation 3. However, that never came to be since Atlus announced that the development process is taking more time than they had presumed it to take. The developers announced that Persona 5 is going to be released on the PlayStation 3 and 4 in 2015.
However, again during the Tokyo Game Show in 2015, Atlus disappointed the fans with the news that the game wouldn’t be releasing that year and would be available in the summer of 2016. Finally, the fans have been furnished with an official date of release.
Persona fans are happy that the developers are finally delving out official dates. With the game releasing in Japan in September, it will be a matter of time before it is released in the rest of the world as well.
