Various rumors regarding the Apple iPhone 7 have been floating around the internet for a significant amount of time. Some previous reports claimed that the device will come sans the standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
Speculations were rife that Apple would sell wireless headphones along with the device. The rumors were supported by the fact that Apple acquired renowned music accessories company Beats sometime back.
It was assumed that Beast will be the company that would develop the wireless headphones for the iPhone 7. That being said, the latest rumors suggest that Apple will not exclude the 3.5mm headphone jack from the iPhone 7.
The headphone jack will be included in both the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus models. A renowned Japanese website by the name of Mac Otakara has made this claim. It should be mentioned her that Mac Otakara makes fairly accurate predictions regarding Apple products.
The site also reported that the device will be shipped along with a Lightning headphone jack adapter. It was also stated that Apple will include a second set of speakers in the device. This will be placed at the top of the phone.
The speaker system, however, will not be of stereo quality. Instead, it will be a single channel monaural speaker. The initial rumors that stated that the iPhone 7 will be arriving without a headphone jack caused a lot of unrest among fans.
Numerous fans raised their voice against this decision of Apple and looked like the Cupertino-based company has taken notice of their dissatisfaction and decided to include the headphone jack in the device.
Mac Otakara also reported that most high-end model of the iPhone 7 will come with 256GB of inbuilt storage. It is likely that Apple will ditch the 16GB model and make the 32GB one the entry level model of the iPhone 7 lineup. The other models will come with 32GB and 128GB of inbuilt memory.
A Chinese smartphone repair site has reportedly leaked some images on which are supposed to be the iPhone 7. It was confirmed by the owner of the site that the photos were posted by him. However, he did not shed any light on how he got hold of the pictures in the first place.
One of the photos shows a 4.7 model of the alleged iPhone 7. It can be seen that the headphone jack is present on the device. Some other images show what appears to be dual-sim trays. Apparently, the iPhone 7 will be arriving with a dual-sim setup according to the site.
If indeed the device comes with a dual-sim setup, it will be beneficial for users as it will allow them to remain connected to two different cellular networks at the same time. It will also be the first time that a dual-sim setup is included in an iPhone. All the previous models come with a single-sim setup.
