The 6C, however, is not boring, and features the same tech-specs as the iPhone 6, with larger storage capacities, possibly 16 and 32 GB variants.
The iPhone 6C is rumored to be running on similar hardware as the iPhone 6, including the A8 processors and camera hardware. Furthermore, the device is slated to feature a Touch ID fingerprint sensor, which was missing from the iPhone 5C.
Apple had released a premature rendering of the iPhone 6C back in May 2015, although, numerous changes have been made over time. However, some of the basic features remain the same, including the fingerprint sensor and the Lightning Dock.
Apple plans on designing the iPhone 6C to be user-friendly and not ground-breaking, as a result, keeping the budget in check. The 6C boasts of an 8MP primary camera along with a 1.2MP secondary camera with a FaceTime snapper for the selfie-addicts.
Based on the initial speculations, we hope that the rumors regarding the plastic body is true, since the thought of a polycarbonate-finish Apple device is not very tempting to be honest!
