Rumors are also doing rounds on the internet which suggest that the new iPad Air will be slimmer compared to its predecessor. It will be lighter too. The device will feature a four-speaker audio system and will have support for the Apple Pencil.
If indeed the device is smaller and lighter than the iPad Air 2, it will most likely pack a battery which will be smaller than the one that powers the Air 2.
Three variants of the device based on its color will be available in the market and they are- Silver, Space Grey and Gold.
Chances are there that the iPad Air 3 will be powered by the latest A10 processor which will be a significant improvement over the iPad Air 2. The entry-level price for the iPad Air 3 is going to be in the neighborhood of $399. This will be the price of the 16GB variant.
Various reports suggest that if indeed the iPad Air 3 is released, it is likely to happen in the month of September. The month of November is also on the cards as far as the release date of the device is concerned.
It should be mentioned here that none of the claims or rumors have been confirmed by Apple and thus readers are advised to take them with a pinch of salt.
