Apple iPad Air 3: Latest Update On Tech-Specs and Release News, Unlikely to Come with 3D Touch Technology!

Several rumors regarding Appleā€™s iPad Air 3 have been doing rounds on the internet for quite some time now. The iPad Air 3 is one of the most highly anticipated devices from the Apple stable and it is expected to see the light of the day sometime during the current year.

Initially, it was being speculated that the device would be released by Apple during the closing months of 2015. However, that was not the actual case as Apple instead launched another device, the Apple iPad Pro in 2015. The iPad Air 3 did not make an appearance in the previous year.

If the latest rumors concerning the device are to be believed, the iPad Air 3 might be launched by Apple in March 2016. Its unveiling may take place alongside the iPhone 6C and the second generation Apple Watch at an Apple event which is scheduled to be held in March.

Apparently, Apple abstained from launching the device in 2015 because the company did not want it to pose any sort of competition to one of their own devices, the iPad Pro. Moreover, the delay in launch bought them some more time to further polish and enhance the device in any way possible.

The upcoming iteration of the iPad Air series will reportedly sport a 9.7 inch 4K screen with a 2334 x 3112 resolution display. The screen will have a 4:3 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 401 ppi. Rumors also suggest that it might come with an inbuilt Touch ID feature.

The iPad Air 3 will come with a sleeker and lighter body compared to its predecessor, the iPad Air 2 which had a thickness of 6.1mm and a weighed in at 437g. A thinner and lighter model would mean a smaller battery and some other changes in design necessary for the cut in width of the device.

Unlike the iPad Air 2 which was powered by an Apple A8X processor, the iPad Air 3 will run on a more potent A9X processor which would reportedly provide 20 percent more power and 35 percent better power efficiency to the upcoming device.

Combined with the A9X processor, the device will contain 2GB of RAM, while another variant of the device will also be made available which will come with 4GB of RAM. As for the camera department, the iPad Air 3 will feature a 13-megapixel camera on its back along with a decent 5-megapixel front snapper.

Apple will reportedly release four variants of the device based on its internal memory. Various reports suggest that 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB versions of the iPad Air 3 will make appearances in the market.

iPad Air 3 will be both water and dust resistant with IPX7 certificate in both the departments. An inbuilt fingerprint scanner will ensure that users are provided with the maximum security for their private data.

According to a renowned tech site, the device will boast an enhanced daylight visibility compared to its predecessors. An improved daylight visibility would ensure a better usability of the device under direct sunlight which would definitely be beneficial for its users.

It was previously reported that the iPad Air 3 will come loaded with 3D Touch technology. The 3D Touch technology pops out a secondary menu for any app that is long pressed by the user. It essentially allows users to get a quick access to shortcut menus and get a detailed info about any app.
