These will be followed by some other devices from the company that will gradually get the update.
Among the devices confirmed for the update are- Xperia Z4 Tablet, XperiaZ2 Tablet, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Premium, Xperia Z3+, Xperia M5, Xperia M4 Aqua, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia C5 Ultra and Xperia C4.
The Marshmallow update will bring forth a new battery optimization feature in the devices which will work towards enhancing battery life significantly. The revamped app permission feature will allow users to give access permission to apps on a case to case basis.
A Chrome custom tab will be brought forth by the update and a modified app drawer along with a search bar on its top will also make its way to devices with Android M.
A special power saving mode will ensure that the battery life of the device gets a notable hike on a day to day basis. This new feature is being called the Doze Mode.A new home launcher that will come with the upgrade will allow users to select whether they want the names of the apps to be displayed in the dock or not.
