Android 6.0 Marshmallow Rolled Out for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 On Verizon, Droid Turbo 2 And Xperia Z5 Receive the Update!

Sony is also rolling out the Android Marshmallow update for the Xperia Z5, Z5 compact and the Z5 Premium. The update is currently available OTA in Japan. Users who use any device of the Z5 lineup on DoCoMo are currently receiving the update.

It was also reported that the update will soon be released in other parts of the world.  it was previously announced by Sony Mobile U.K. that the update will become available from March 7 for a number of models that include- the devices of the Xperia Z5 lineup, Xperia Z4 Tablet and Xperia Z3+. The update will have the build number of 32.1.A.0.434.

Last year, Sony launched a beta testing program for the latest Android OS. However, the testing was meant only for those who owned the Xperia Z3 and the Xperia Z3 Compact. More than 10,000 users registered for the testing.

Sony allowed these users to test the latest Android Marshmallow on their devices. The beta testing program was touted to be a success. The company is currently beta testing Android 6.0 in various countries that include- Estonia, U.K., Denmark, Germany, Finland, Netherlands, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Ireland and Spain.
