Android 6.0 Marshmallow Release For Motorola Moto G 3rd Gen, New Moto G Turbo Comes With Significant Upgrades over Its Predecessors, And More

The most difficult part of being an Android user is to constantly keep checking for updates to your OS version. Recently, Google started releasing its latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and by now, it has released to most of the company’s signature devices.

As a result, it is now time for it to release on the devices from other manufacturers, like the Motorola Moto X 2014, 2015; Moto G3, G2, Moto 3rd & 2nd Gen Moto E Series for U.S. Carriers like Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, or T-Mobile.

Meanwhile, the older Android phones made by Motorola, also deserve to be updated from Android Lollipop to the latest Marshmallow. Latin Post reported that the 6.0 Marshmallow release for Motorola is in the rollout process.

The company has already announced the release of Android M on the Moto X Style along with the Moto X 2014, both in India and Brazil. David Schuster, Motorola President, declared that the full deployment will begin in stages over the next few weeks.

When you are able to update your device, you will finally receive a notification on your phone but it is not yet available for pull. According to him, the approval process for 2015 Moto X Pure Edition has already begun and expectations suggest that it will be pushed in the next couple of weeks.

The only problem with Android Updates is that they turn out to be very slow. Even if the updates started rolling out last fall, the newer devices don’t start receiving the update until it is the beginning of the next year.

People suffer from the absence of a list which should indicate the deadline for the update rolling out to devices and the time when it will happen. This includes companies like Sony, Samsung, LG and HTC.

After the update is released, it has the tendency to vary from carrier to carrier like T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T and Sprint in the US. Besides the Moto X 2014 and the 2015 Moto X Style, these are the devices which should be receiving the new Marshmallow update.

They are Moto G 3rd Gen, Droid Turbo 2, Droid Maxx 2, Moto X Play, and Droid Turbo. The 3rd Generation of Moto G series should receive the update by November and the 2nd generation will receive it by December. Meanwhile, the Google Play Editions should have already received the update.

The Motorola Moto G 3rd generation which was released in 2015 July continues the winning formula of this brand, which was started back in 2013, with the release of the first Moto G.

According to Tom’s Hardware, the first Motorola Moto G was a revolutionary device since it came with a sub-$200 price tag and it provided a compelling user experience since it was free from any kind of bloatware, present in other devices of that time, like the Galaxy S4 Mini, the HTC One Mini and much more.

The only disadvantage of the Moto G was that it didn’t support LTE connectivity. As a result, Motorola released another variant of the Moto G after 6 months, and it supported LTE. However, the feature came with an additional price tag of $50. The 2nd generation of Motorola Moto G was released last fall, after the first device completed its one year cycle.

The display size of this device was increased to 5inches from 4.5inches and it came with an improved camera as well. However, with a bigger screen size, the battery life was decreased but sadly; the battery size was not at all changed. Furthermore, both these devices used a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor.
