A Review of Motorola Moto G3, Recent Reports Indicating the Arrival of Android Marshmallow on This Device!

Motorola sprang back to popularity and importance with their Moto G and Moto X series of smartphones. The latest successor in the Moto G series, the Moto G3 is one of the best budget smartphones available at the moment.

According to Motorola, the Motorola Moto G3 is ready to accompany you in any weather, thanks to the presence of Corning Gorilla Glass and IPX7 waterproof protection. As a result, your device should be safe in case of accidental scrapes and scratches along with drops in water.

The device can capture photos with the flick of a wrist, using the upgraded 13-megapixel camera and the all-day battery will be available for you whenever you need it the most.

You can customize your Motorola Moto G3 using Motorola Shells which are available in a variety of colors. There are various customization options available on Moto Maker, which allows you to personalize your device in the way you see fit.

You can use Moto Maker to pick the memory, colors and accents that make your device unique. Besides the Moto G3, the company has made a serious reputation using the perfect Moto 360. The newly updated Moto 360 is highly superior compared to its predecessor. The performance of G3 is twice as fast with a great battery life.

Moto G has more or less the same shape and design with a standard smartphone slab and well-rounded corners. It makes use of the same 5inch display and screen-to-body ratio seen in the Moto G of last year.

The back panel has a left to right curvature that is seen in the Moto X Style. It also features a similar metal plate design around the camera port, with the Motorola Logo and LED Flash.

When you snap the back panel securely, you get the IPX7 waterproofing. Similar to the previous Moto G models, there are standard black and white models. However, for the first time ever, the Moto Maker web store which was earlier only available for the Moto X has been introduced to the Moto G series as well.

After choosing your back panel color, you can change it later since it’s interchangeable in nature. Outside, Moto Maker, this is pretty much the only exterior feature that you can change.

Using Moto Maker, you can choose an accent color for the back plate of this device, a black or white front panel, a custom engraving, a flip shell along with a custom greeting message for the Android software.

Home screen wallpaper is also available. The options may not be as diverse as that of Moto X but rest assured, there are plenty of options to choose from. The new Moto G uses a 5inch display with an IPS LCD Touch panel with 294 PPI pixel density and 720p HD resolution. Due to the larger screen size, the display ppi is slightly lower than the previous Moto G model.

However, compared to the previous generation iPhone 5S, it isn’t too far behind. The brightness of this display is not quite exceptional but reasonable at the same time.

Contrast is pretty decent, but the color and white purity appears to be a little washed out, yellow-tinted and dull as well. However, overall, the display panel is pretty decent in nature.

The display may not be the best but being a budget model, the new Moto G3 offers appropriate features. Under the hood, processing power has been improved with a tweaked Snapdragon 410 processor, compared to the Snapdragon 400 in its predecessor. The 410 processor makes use of a 64-bit chip and this makes it pretty efficient over the earlier 32-bit processor chips.
