Toyota Motor Co. Ltd. is bringing the face lifted version of the Toyota Tacoma in North and South America this year. In a rather unique marketing move, Toyota Canada decided to let the Canadians get a sneak peek of the 2016 Toyota Tacoma mid-size pickup before it finally reaches the showrooms this fall.
As part of the Tacoma Tour 2016, the truck will be introduced in events throughout Quebec, Alberta, Ontario and British Columbia starting from now till August. According to popular reports, the 2016 Toyota Tacoma will not only give its competitors a run for their money but it will also tend to dominate the mid-size truck segment.
The latter has presently gained momentum thanks to the record low gasoline prices. Master Herald reported that Toyota sold more than 7 million units of the Tacoma in US markets since its early launch in 1964.
If reports are correct, Toyota will be revealing the truck in a completely new avatar. The 2016 Toyota Tacoma has muscle power and durability and it’s time to feel the heat of the competition generated from other competitors in this segment.
Meanwhile, the Tacoma tour in Canada will be led by Canadian automotive journalists and eminent truck experts, Eric Descarries from Quebec and Howard Elmer from Ontario. During the tour, the first events took place on 19th June at Niagara-on-the-Lake and on 20th June, it took place in Vaughan.
Elmer was available at Vaughan Mills Mall to talk about the new 2016 Toyota Tacoma and it was available for test drive along with a few other Toyota vehicles. Descarries further mentioned that they are looking forward to meet and chat with Canadians across the country.
They are looking for their feedback and thoughts on the new Tacoma while generating a stronger sense of what Canadians are expecting in a present-generation pickup truck. Descarries was confident enough to declare that the new 2016 Toyota Tacoma is a superior addition to their Truck Line-up and will definitely exceed their expectations.
Several vehicles that will compete with the 2016 Toyota Tacoma 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, 2015 Frontier, 2016 Ridgeline and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV’s RAM 1500. The Japanese automaker Toyota has experimented with Tacoma in order to release a vehicle that is perfect for American markets.
