Update Your Galaxy S4 to Android 5.1.1, Sony Reports New Update to Release Soon on Their Z3 and Z2 Series, And More

Earlier problems with ‘Okay Google’ will also be fixed with this update. The latest update will bring Wi-Fi toggle options, Bluetooth, Quick settings along with a fix for the memory leak issue which caused applications to crash randomly without warning. The problems of dialer and messaging app crashes have also been fixed.

The Sony devices that will receive the latest Android Lollipop version are Xperia Z3, Z2, Xperia Z Ultra GPE (Google Play Edition), Xperia Z, Xperia ZR, Xperia ZL, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1s, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z3 (T-Mobile), Xperia Z3v, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet, Xperia Tablet Z, and Xperia Z2 Tablet, T2 Ultra, Xperia C3, M2 and M2 Aqua.

In other news, the Korean versions of Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge have started receiving the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update through Korean Telecom Companies like SK Telecom, LG Uplus and KT Corporation.

In case of LG, recent reports indicate that G4 users might not receive the Android 5.1.1 update and instead it could receive a direct update to Android M from Android 5.1.
