After the huge box-office success of Dr. Strange, Marvel fans should brace themselves for a handful of equally-exciting movies that will bring their favorite comic characters to life this 2017.
Guardians of the Galaxy 2
With a scheduled play date on 5th of May 2017, the movie will follow the team’s adventure as they fight and uncover the mysteries behind Peter Quill’s parentage. The whole team reprises their respective roles while new characters will be introduced. New alliances will be formed from former foes.
Peter Parker aka Spiderman is finally joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With a claimed play date of July 7, 2017 – the latest web-slinging film will be set after the events of Captain America: Civil War. Tom Holland is tapped to take on Spidey’s suit while Michael Keaton plays The Vuture. Robert Downey Jr. will also appear as Iron Man.
The third installment to the Thor franchise is also scheduled for a 2017 release, possibly on November 3. Chris Hemsworth reprises his role as the thundergod Thor. Tom Hiddleston will again play Loki while Idris Elba and Anthony Hopkins reprise their roles as Heimdall and Odin. The character of Hela will be introduced in the arc as played by Cate Blanchett. The movie will pick up from the events after Avengers: Age of Ultron. Superhero appearances will be by Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumbermatch) and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).
With the said lineup of Marvel movies, expect 2017 to be a year full of superhero action. Marvel and Stan Lee has made sure that fans will be treated to movies full of sequential action, amazing plots and twists, and of course – stellar special effects.
