The Leftovers Season 3: HBO Renews the Series for the Last Time, Lindelof Lets Out Scoops, And More

There are characters who will have to be developed and mysteries to be solved before the series can come to an end. With so many things to focus on Screen Crush feels that Damon Lindelof will move away from trying to unearth answers for Kevin Garvey’s insanity.

Lindelof said that it is not like he isn’t interested to find answers or delve deeper into Kevin’s insanity. He just feels that they have given too much of time to this issue in the past two seasons and with Season 3 being the last season, he is keen on finding something new to explore.

In The Leftovers Season 2, Kevin had made a conscious decision to use the supernatural to get rid of his visions of Patti Levin. He had died as a result and was resurrected. Lindelof said that he is more interested in focusing on a Kevin who is sure that he isn’t crazy.

The vision and the sleepwalking were all Kevin’s attempt at coming to terms with trauma and now there will be a departure since he doesn’t need to resort to all these.
