Samsung, the company that has lodged its name at the top of all other leading smartphone brands in the market in terms of quality of the product and also in its huge sale around the world is continuing to grow as a master in its sector. After the launch of the ‘galaxy’ series in April 2009, samsung has continued to provide its flawless service along the years. The Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge launched earlier this year was the best of all. Reports state that 13.3 million S7 edge smartphones have been sold in the first half of 2016.
The credit for this unprecedented success is due to its awesome and almost incomparable specifications. Talking about the superior version, the S7 edge came with a Quad HD 5.5 inches display with 534 pixels per inch. The 12 Megapixel dual pixel camera showed excellent performance in the light and even in very low light conditions. The Snapdragon 820 processor and the 4 gigabytes of RAM made the phone perform at the top-notch level. When tested with apps like the ‘Antutu Benchmark’ and the ‘Geek Benchmark’, the phone showed us some really exciting scores.
According to the latest talks the new successor of the S7 will hit the market in the early 2017. Two similar models, namely the ‘Samsung Galaxy S8’ and the ‘Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge’ will be launched. The upcoming model will be the much awaited phone in the coming year. On combining some rumors and some confirmed talks, we can expect some new and upgraded features in the model. The S8 model might come with an Ultra High Definition 2K resolution display, while its bigger brother, the S8 edge might come with a 4K display. The main feature that defines the strength of a smartphone, i.e its processor is currently the talk of the town. Both the galaxy S8 models is reported to come with the next generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 CPU.
The processor will be built on 10 nm FinFET process. The processor will increase the efficiency of the phone by 27 percent and reduce the power consumption by 40 percent. The processor might come with a Kryo CPU and clock speeds up to 3.2 GHz. The ‘ARM Mali-G71’ GPU is expected to replace the previous Adreno GPU and is considered to enhance 4K resolution and Virtual Reality experience along with a smoother gaming performance. A whooping 6 Gigabytes of RAM will serve to add a flavor to the existing specs.
