Elder Scrolls 6 is not going to release anytime soon. Bethesda is studio behind various major franchises like Fallout, Doom and Elder Scrolls but they remained rather tight-lipped on this particular issue. However, this did not stop the fans from speculating and predicting the gameplay and the story of the upcoming fantasy role-playing game.
According to some of the rumors, the game is set in Argonia, which is a fictitious place in the Elder Scrolls world. During an interview with the Vice President of Marketing and PR, Pete Hines declared via Telegraph, “It’s rare to have franchises like the ones we have and to have people joking about ‘when “Skyrim 2” coming out?’
The reason they say that is because generally speaking that’s what you’d be getting with another publisher in charge. They’d be spitting out a ‘Skyrim 2’ the year after or two years later. That’s just not how we view it.”
This further proves that the studio stands out from other AAA developers who are trying to make sequel after sequel of games which eventually lead to the making of inferior titles.
Therefore, fans of the franchise simply need to patient and hope that an official announcement is made in the upcoming E3 event in June. Meanwhile, in related news, Bethesda studio is also preparing for their game called ‘Doom’ which will be made available internationally, beginning 13th May 2016.
Doom was presented in last year’s E3 along with the previously released Fallout 4. In case you are unaware, Doom is a first-person shooter game that was released back in 1993 for the first time and the upcoming game is a remake which can be played in consoles of today.
The upcoming game has a new feature known as Doom Snap Map where players can create as well as share their map creations. The contents of the collector’s edition were revealed by Bethesda and it further contains a replica of one of the main monsters in the game. This collector’s edition is priced at $119.99.
Bethesda announced Fallout 4 in E3 last year and the game later released in 2015 November. There are further rumors from the game company this year that the developer will keep the tradition alive and they will finally announce the Elder Scrolls 6 in June during the E3 Electronic Entertainment Expo.
Yibada further states that Elder Scrolls 6 could be released as early as November in case Bethesda wishes to replicate the success of Fallout 4. At the same time, the developer has remained silent about the upcoming installment. There is no official statement which clarifies that Elder Scrolls 6 will be released this year or not.
However, the only assurance is that Bethesda is busy developing titles at the moment. However, Elder Scrolls fans have not given up hope regarding an Elder Scrolls release this year. Todd Howard, the game studio director revealed what is keeping the developers at Bethesda busy.
At the DICE 2016 summit, Bethesda revealed that the company is working on three different projects and they are different from what they have worked on before. According to Gamerant, Howard declared that the game development studio has three long-term projects which are totally different from what they have done before.
At the same time, Howard declined to reveal anything much and mentioned that the company will talk more in details about the upcoming projects in the near future. He further mentioned “a Bethesda-style game; big and crazy”.
