The second half of Vikings Season 4 is just around the corner, and the trailer that History Channel released gives the fans an idea of what’s in store in the upcoming season. Viewers would remember that there was a time jump at the end of the midseason finale. The trailer opens with Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) coming back to his village to take on the throne.
Ragnar has been away for a very long time, and his sons aren’t pleased to see him in Kattegat. They had become comfortable in a life without their father and as Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) says, Ragnar shouldn’t have come back after all these years.
The general sentiment is that Ragnar’s appearance is going to bring in tragedy, chaos, and death. Neither Ragnar nor his sons are afraid of any of it, and the viewers are going to see them preparing for the biggest battle that Vikings has ever seen.
The midseason finale of Vikings Season 4 made it clear that the focus of the series is going to shift to Ragnar’s son. According to Zap2It, Ragnar had abandoned his position as the king of Kattegat because he couldn’t take the pressure anymore. However, he does come back to see how his sons have been doing and to finish his business with King Ecbert (Linus Roache).
As Fimmel points out in the Comic-Con, a Viking keeps being the ruler as long as he is successful or else he is killed by the strongest Viking in the tribe, who takes his position. In Ragnar’s case, he was the most famous Viking, and there was no one to defeat him.
Fans were happy to know that Lagertha Katheryn Winnick) is going to be back for the second half of Vikings Season 4. She wanted to die, but she returns for a dramatic fight with Queen Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland). While there is no light on why the two powerful women fight, but the fans are super excited to see it unfold.
The upcoming episodes of Vikings Season 4 will see a different Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard) following the death of his daughter in the midseason finale of Season 4. Floki and Bjorn will head to the Mediterranean, and the episodes will throw light on their relationship.
Vikings Season 4 returns to History Channel in fall, and it is going to be followed by 20 episodes long Season 5 next year. Given that the fans of the show are dying to find out what’s in store for them in the second half of Vikings Season 4, there was a huge crowd at the Vikings’ hanger at the San Diego Comic-Con.
Those who were present there witnessed something interesting. The whole cast was present for the panel discussion along with creator Michael Hirst. While the cast revealed interesting things are going to happen in the second half of Season 4, they also carried out some pranks amongst each other that they are well-known for.
It looked like Travis Fimmel had spiked Alexander Ludwig’s drink since he ended up spitting it out after taking the first sip. However, Alexander Ludwig promised that he is going to drink up the whole bottle of water. Ludwig shared that Fimmel had the tendency to pull off pranks and went ahead to share an anecdote.
