New Touchscreen Fix Released With OnePlus One Oxygen OS 1.01 Update, More Details

With the Oxygen OS 1.01 update, OnePlus One has received another touchscreen fix. The users of ‘OnePlus One’ have always been disturbed with the constant touchscreen problems being regenerated. OnePlus has been trying a lot to patch up these issues with a lot of updates and this includes the latest launch of Oxygen OS 1.01 update.

The disturbed OnePlus One users can now proceed and download the Oxygen OS 1.01 and reports indicate that this will resolve all present problems involving the device. The people at XDA developers and Fastboot Mobile have released a new OnePlus One migration tool which enables the users to upgrade or migrate directly.

This allows you to update to the latest Oxygen OS 1.01 version from Cyanogen Mod 11 or Cyanogen Mod 12 without losing any information. Currently, the migration tool is going through some beta testing issues and it is expected to be fully functional. It includes a couple of known issues like that of QDL mode failure and the ADB drivers in the application, failing to load by it. Furthermore, it may also require manual installation.

You need to make sure that Microsoft.Net 4.5 is installed in your computer. The latest version can be downloaded from the Microsoft website.

Before proceeding, you should make sure that the computer is either running Windows 7 or Windows 8. The downloads required are Microsoft .Net 4.5, OnePlus One Migration tool for OxygenOS, OxygenOS 1.01 patch update for OnePlus One (flashable zip), OxygenOS 1.01 patch update for OnePlus One (MD5 file)

First, you need to unzip the OxygenOS migration tool, designed for OnePlus One, into its own folder. The MD5 and the Oxygen OS flashable zip needs to be copied into the download folder where the tool has been extracted.

In your device, head over to settings, select Developer Options and uncheck Update CM Recovery. Usually, CM is checked by default which can cause issues. You must connect the phone to the PC using USB cable. After this, run the “OnePlusOneMigration.exe” file as Administrator. In order to confirm the signed driver installation, you need to accept any prompts.

The OxygenOS patch will be installed after you have accepted the on-screen updates. Meanwhile, the ADB sideload process can take some time to be finished. You need to keep in mind some of the known issues.
