Some campaign footage for Gears of War 4 along with the new multiplayer map for Xbox One and PC. The campaign gameplay was taken on Xbox One, and it features the main characters Kait, JD and Del along with Marcus Fenix. They are fighting against the Swarm as well as a storm. Kait’s mom has been abducted after the village got destroyed.
The squad decides to pursue their enemies through the wilds of Sera and at the same time, they need to battle through a violent storm, as revealed by the description. The seven minutes of new footage is worth checking out. You can play the demo at San Diego Comic Con’s Xbox booth and of course, this is the first time when the public will get the chance to play Gears of War 4.
The new multiplayer map for Gears of War 4 is called Forge. In the flythrough video, you will notice that it features a sprawling arena with some close-quarter areas. There are also open spaces with greater lines of sight. The attendees of Comic-Con can play ‘Versus’ matches on the map. A third video was also released by Microsoft. It focused on the release of the recently announced Xbox One 2TB Gears of War 4.
You should watch the new video regarding it and get an idea of all the details. On 2nd July at Comic-Con, Microsoft is also hosting a Gears of War 4 panel at Comic-Con, named Gears of War 4: Creators, Characters, and Cast. In this panel, you will find Rod Fergusson, The Coalition Boss along with Liam McIntyre (JD Fenix), Eugene Byrd (Del Walker), Laura Bailey (Kait Diaz), the voice actors.
The panel will be moderated by Major Nelson of Microsoft, and it will include surprises and special announcements. Keep in mind that this game is an Xbox Play Anywhere title, which necessarily means that you can buy the game digitally on Xbox One and get the free PC version for Windows 10. The game will launch on 11th October.
Meanwhile, the Gears of War 4 Xbox One Elite Controller is currently available for a price of $200 and you can pre-order it. The exclusive retail partners of this controller are Microsoft Stores and GameStop.
They started taking pre-orders from 1 PM ET, 20th July. The GameStop supply is limited, and you can expect the pre-orders to end quickly, as reported by a GameStop representative. A pre-order can be secured right now, from GameStop and Microsoft Store.
The Xbox One Elite controllers (the standard edition), were difficult to find for a long time. According to Microsoft, they didn’t expect so much demand for the controllers.
It has been revealed that more than 1 million transforming, unique controllers have been produced. It was announced at E3 2016, and the controller features D-pads and War-themed thumbsticks. It also includes a unique multiplayer lobby item along with three Gear Packs that can be used in the game.
It will arrive on 4th October, a week before Gears of War 4 releases. In case you don’t want the Elite controller but you are looking for a Gears of War themed variant, there are additional options available. A blood-splattered version of the Gears of War 4 Xbox One controller along with a JD-Fenix themed variant will be launched in October by Microsoft.
