Motorola Moto G3 vs. Microsoft Lumia 550 and Comparison with Its Predecessor, Moto G 2014, More Details

The Lumia 550 as the recent budget Windows device was launched by Microsoft along with its costlier siblings. It is clear that the company wants a major piece of the entry-level Android market pie and the Moto G3 is its direct competitor in the Android line-up.

In terms of design, both of these devices have a plastic body but in the Moto G3, you will notice a band with a metallic sheen that runs along its edge. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset is present in the Moto G3 which comes with four Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.4 GHz and includes an Adreno 306 Graphics solution. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset is present in the Lumia 550 and it features a CPU with four cores running at 1.1GHz along with an Adreno 304 Graphics solution.

In terms of memory, the Moto G3 supports up to 32GB while the Lumia 550 supports up to 200GB of storage. In terms of RAM, the 8GB model of Moto G3 has 1GB while the 16GB model comes with 2GB. The Lumia 550 has only 1 GB of RAM.

The Lumia 550 has a 5 megapixel rear camera compared to the 13megapixel rear shooter in the Moto G3. The Moto G3 with 1GB RAM is available at a price of $179 while the Lumia 550 comes with $139 unlocked.
