Mortal Kombat X: Kombat Pack 2 to Launched atQ1 2016, New Challenges and Decors Added with the Thanksgiving Update!

At the time, fans are still speculating about the four characters that will be added through the upcoming Kombat Pack DLC for Mortal Kombat X. Recently, Ed Boon talked about some details regarding the future additions for Mortal Kombat X.

The director of the Mortal Kombat X franchise answered to a fan in his Twitter account that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will not be added as characters in the next DLC. They will not be featured among the playable characters to be launched in the downloadable expansion pack that will be released next year.

Boon curtly replied that this isn’t going to happen even though it would have been really exciting if they were added as playable characters in this already highly-popular franchise. However, the game director was a tease enough to share the silhouetted of the upcoming characters without dropping any original hints regarding their identity.

The latest batch of rumors regarding the characters to be included in the Kombat Pack 2 DLC for Mortal Kombat X, suggest that Neo from “The Matrix,” “Batman” villain The Joker, as well as the legendary adventurer Indiana Jones will be added as characters. However, keep in mind that none of them has been confirmed so far.

Besides the new characters, the upcoming expansion will come with a brand new fighting arena along with new player skins. There were four DLC characters introduced with the first Mortal Kombat X DLC and they are “Friday the 13th” villain Jason Voorhees and Predator, along with classic “Mortal Kombat” characters Tremor and Tanya.

In the meantime, people have been very eager for updates regarding the upcoming DLC characters for Mortal Kombat X. There are a lot of people who are churning out their own speculation and rumors regarding the franchise. The characters will be introduced to the public with the inclusion of a new update.

There was a wishful thinking among fans, regarding the addition of TNMT characters but then later, it was completely debunked by series creator, Ed Boon. The well-loved vigilantes will not be appearing as characters in the next Kombat Pack 2 DLC, as directed by the co-creator of the game, Ed Boon.

He was asked whether the iconic turtle gang will be a part of the update but he directly answered ‘No’. In other news, the silhouettes that have been teased by Boon, has been speculated to be Alien and Sektor. Already, some characters have been added to the game with Kombat Pack 1 DLC.

The new characters that are being rumored to arrive soon are The Joker, Noob Saibot, Elvira, Indiana Jones, New Marcus, Fenix, Ash Williams, Cyrax, Rorschach, and Smoke. However, other popular characters like Batman and Superman won’t be appearing in the franchise, as reported by Boon. He earlier expressed his unwillingness to include these two superheroes in the franchise.

In terms of release date, Yibada talked about the latest rumors suggesting that the much-awaited add-on will release sometime within Q1 next year and this more likely be March 2016.

It was announced by Nether Realm Studios back in September a major DLC will be released for the game and it has been confirmed that to take place in the first half of 2016. The second DLC by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for Mortal Kombat X will be released for PC, Xbox One and PS4 platforms.

Meanwhile, in other news, the latest updates to Mortal Kombat X and The Simpsons mobile include a pre-Christmas mini-event along with new Challenges to receive a brand new fighter. Electronic Arts released a mini-event which announces the launch of another holiday season, before Christmas finally arrives.
