Mortal Kombat X Declared the Best-Selling Game of 2015, Gamers Wait For the Release of a Kombat Pack 2!

DC’s Injustice: Gods among us has had no trouble in maintaining its momentum and keeping alive that sense of excitement even years after the release of this title.

However, Mortal Kombat X prequel seems to have lost its pace somehow. The game was released months ago and the book isn’t offering a major incentive for readers to stick around and discover what happened during those missing years.

In spite of the fact that the conflict has reached a high escalation point, the issues still remain. However, one of the most recurring flaws in this series has been addressed. This major flaw is the presence of a disjointed narrative which features the juggling of dozens of characters that are spread across various continents and physical planes.

In order to face the massive Battle Royale, a lot of the characters in this book have converged on Shang Tsung’s Island. If the writer Shawn Kittelsen keeps his script focused on one conflict and one location, it will add a more cohesive nature to this book. However, in the end, we have no idea how it will all pan out.

The battle has started to grow very repetitive as it plays out over the course of three chapters. You will witness a lot of physical violence and bravado but the script never really delves into the deeper aspects of these character rivalries.

Mortal Kombat X is now a non-stop story of fighting with one character gaining the upper hand over the other and in the meantime, other characters shows up in order to change the tide of the battle. As a result, when the final chapter transitions into a flashback and offers a storytelling aspect, it can almost be considered as a relief.

All being said, the art is quite decent in the latest issue of Mortal Kombat X. You will be hard-pressed to notice any subtle aspects about this issue. All you get is a bunch of pretentiously dressed, muscular characters beating up each other into a fleshy pulp.

There are times when the panels suffer from the lack of good framing. There are overly dynamic angles which tend to block various places and characters in the background.

In the video-gaming universe, Mortal Kombat X was one of the most anticipated titles of 2015. However, after NetherRealm Studios released this amazing title, fans are currently waiting for the addition of more exciting content.

Many other games of 2015 are getting DLC updates and patches released one after the other but sadly, all Mortal Kombat X fans have is the additional content for the Kombat Pack season pass. It allows them to have at least 15 different additions in the game. Some of the additions include characters like Jason Voorhees, Predator, Goro, Tanya, along with several costumes and skins.

According to NetherRealm Studios, Tremor was the last DLC for the Kombat Pack. However, if you aren’t happy with the content released so far, be patient and wait a little longer for more to be added. This is because, according to a report from Ecumenical News, a Kombat Pack 2 is on the way!

Like most wild rumors, the developers (NetherRealm in this case) haven’t confirmed it yet. However, the possibility of a Kombat Pack 2 is absolute ever since the developers dubbed the latest upgrade as Kombat Pack 1.

In the meantime, Ed Boon, the director of the Mortal Kombat X video game has dropped some hints on his Twitter account and further answered some fan questions.
