In addition to these there are some other safety measures which can be adhered to in order to prevent the spread of this highly communicable parasite.
One is to avoid making food when experiencing the common symptoms associated with the disease.
If a child has diarrhea, he or she is not to be let out of the home, especially to swimming pools till the symptoms resolve.
A bathroom break is to be taken every hour or so and diapers should be checked after the same period or 30 minutes.
Hands are to be frequently washed, especially after accessing toilets and handling diapers and compulsorily before handling food. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers are not capable of killing these germs, and one should use soap and warm water to lather and scrub for 20 seconds in the least.
