Microsoft Surface Pro 4 in the Pipeline, Details Unavailable, And More!

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is the best-selling laptop-tablet hybrid currently available in the market. However, rumors suggest that the device will be replaced by the Surface Pro 4 later this year. As customary, Microsoft is currently offering a huge discount on the Surface Pro 3 bundle, before its successor hits the market. The bundle includes the Surface Pro 3 laptop, sleeve, Type Cover, Office 365 and an extended support plan covering hardware damage along with software backup.

Microsoft is trying to release the Surface Pro 4 as quickly as possible, amidst rumors of Apple planning to delay the launch of their upcoming iPad Pro. Rumors suggested that the production of the Surface pr 3 was halted due to a shortage of the display panels. However, it seems that the shortage was caused due to the upcoming Surface Pro 4. As always, Microsoft will launch two variants of the Surface Pro 4, one measuring 12-inches and the other with a 14-inch display!

Both tablets feature 2,160 x 1,440 pixel display resolution and will be powered by Windows 10. However, Microsoft is still busy with the last minute bug-fixes, which threatens to delay the launch. If the device is launched in July, it might run on Windows 8 for the moment and later switch to Windows 10.

Microsoft is also expected to launch a pocket version of the Surface Pro 4, called the Surface Pro Mini. This device will launch around fall ’15 and is likely to be powered by Windows 10. Microsoft claims that their new OS will not just power PCs, but also mobile devices. The Mini features an 8-inch display and bears a powerful processor, the details of which are currently unavailable.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 draws power from an Intel Core M Broadwell processor, which also powers Apple’s new MacBook. Details regarding the specifications and performance of the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 are unavailable, although, it should be at par with the Surface Pro 3, if Microsoft wants to maintain its immaculate sales record.
