Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is going to feature in the film Spider-Man: Homecoming. There was a lot of speculation about the latest Spider-Man movie with the young actor. San Diego Comic-Con saw director Jon Watts and Tom Holland coming together to talk about their upcoming film.
Jon Watts went ahead and introduced Marvel’s new Spider-Man in the same fashion as he was introduced in Captain America: Civil War.
Sony wasn’t happy with the way the previous Spider-Man movies had turned out to be. Although the Amazing Spider-Man franchise was a success, the producers didn’t do good business.
Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that Sony’s Amy Pascal was responsible for bringing Spider-Man back to the big screen.
While Sony was keen on bringing Spider-Man back, they didn’t want to bring the same story once again. This is why Marvel decided to bring in a Peter Parker/ Spider-Man who was a high school student.
Spider-Man; Homecoming is going to be a complete high school film. The movie is going to see Spider-Man as a regular student who tries to make web fluid in his science class. Peter will watch the girls in his gym class drooling over the Avengers, never knowing that one of them is sitting right there amongst them.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is going to see the web-swinging in an entirely different avatar. The film is going take the viewers back to the comics where the hero is going to be a nerdy school boy.
Peter Parker will try to overcome his frustration and anxiety by immersing himself in solving crimes. He will cut classes to go and save the day.
The upcoming film is also going to bring in a new angle to the story of Spider-Man that the viewers have never seen. Peter Parker aka Spider-Man is going to have Tony Stark aka Iron Man as his mentor after he becomes a part of the Avengers.
This means Robert Downey Jr. is going to be a part of the film, and he and Tom Holland are going to continue with the relationship that Civil War had given a glimpse of.
There has been a lot of interest in who the villain for Spider-Man: Homecoming is going to be. According to Screen Rant, Michael Keaton had been roped in as Vulture. The Vulture is one of the first villains that Spider-Man ever faces in his life, and he has never been brought to life on screen.
This would be the first time that a Spider-Man film is going to see the Spider-Man facing the Vulture. Reports suggest that Vulture is going to get some help from The Tinkerer. The Tinkerer is likely to get a new backstory for Spider-Man: Homecoming.
He is going to be an employee of Stark Industries but is going to be fired by Tony Stark. The reason for him being let off is going to force him to join hands with the Vulture against Spider-Man and Iron Man.
Rumors suggest that The Tinkerer is also going to help Shocker, who is set to make an appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming as well.
Marvels haven’t been forthcoming about the villains and their backstory, but rumor has it that The Tinkerer was probably using Chitauri technology in his work at Stark Industries, and this is what causes him to be ousted from the organization.
Tony Stark had been paranoid about the technology of the Chitauri ever since the Battle of New York in The Avengers. It is a given that he will not be able to stay calm once he finds out that one of his employees has been using the same technology he helped destroy.
