The Transformers man, Michael Bay is back in news. Is he going to take the job back in hand from where he left off or is it a firm decision that is irrevocable, the answers to these questions have been long hunted fans and there is no solid news yet.
Last June, Michael Bay bid a farewell to the Transformers franchise after the release of Transformers: Age of Extinction. He had put in his papers to be released from the post of the director of the franchise and initial reports suggested that he will be replaced by the director of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle” Jonathan Liebesman.
Jonathan was announced as the director for the Transformers franchise. He also happens to be a prodigy of Michael Bay. It was because of this that Paramount let of Michael Bay and appointed Jonathan Liebesman to take the franchise to greater heights.
Eventually what surfaced out was Paramount did not officially let go off Michael Bay. He went on to head the writers’ room where they work on the expansions and possible sequels of the movie. The primary objective of the writers’ room is to make Transformers one of the biggest and most successful movie franchise.
Report has it that Paramount has gone back to make Michael Bay rethink his decision to quit the franchise. They want to have Michael’s tried and tested formula of making all the Transforms movies a super hit. They do not want to miss out on the magic for the 5th sequel of one of the most successful franchise of all times. Transformers 5 have been one of those films which have a lot of expectations along with it and the production house does not seem to be in any mood of taking chances with its standards.
Jonathan Liebesman will be put on the director’s chair for the spinoffs and will leave Transformers 5 for his senior to look after. The catch here remains that until Michael Bay confirms his acceptance to sit on the director’s chair for Transformers 5, these news of Jonathan on spinoffs and Bay on Transformers 5 are only going to be speculations and anticipations among fans.
