It is expected that the release date of this title is more than just far, far away in the future. Meanwhile, a lot of rumors regarding this game are circulating the internet.
For now, Valve is quite busy, and gamers have no idea what to make of it. On a more interesting note, Dying Light players recently found a Left 4 Dead 3 reference in the game during one of the levels.
According to the reports, if you look through the window in one of the buildings, you will notice a store with a sign that says, “Left 4 Bread.” It’s no surprise that Valve hasn’t released any information regarding this title since they have been known to this from time to time. To make matters worse for the anticipating gamers, they haven’t even confirmed whether the game is under development right now. They used a level from the older version of this game in order to show us the power of the new Source Engine 2.
It made some fans think that Valve would eventually release some info regarding Left 4 Dead 3 development, but no good news so far. The game was noticed via an internal bug tracking database which Valve uses. Sadly, they are still quiet regarding this issue. According to recent speculations, Left 4 Dead 3 will be developed on the latest Source 2 Engine, and they are currently exploiting this game to test out its features.
Earlier, gamers expected a lot from Valve during their appearance at GDC 2015. However, the entire show never pointed towards the announcement of either Half-Life 3 or Left 4 Dead 3. Fans were quite excited regarding this event but over the evening, the excitement silently cooled down. Sadly, Gabe Newell was never present during this event in San Francisco, and the main stress of the conference was laid on game physics.
