The Hero 5 will have a similar cube like form factor as that of the Hero 4. However, a renowned website reports that it will be smaller than its predecessor. It will also be packed with a more powerful battery.

The Hero 4 came with a battery which had a capacity of 1,120mAH. As for the Hero 5, the site reported that it will be powered by a 2,800mAH battery which will keep it running for a significantly longer amount of time.

Another rumor that is floating around the internet claims that the Hero 5 will be capable of recording 8K videos.

Before the device is released, GoPro will also launch a new software. This particular software is actually a desktop management app and it will improve the sharing function of the Hero 5. Using this software, users will be able to link their Hero 5s to GoPro’s cloud based services.

The new app will enable users to easily transfer and share the contents of the device. It will relieve users from the arduous task of manually offloading and accessing the contents of the device. The app is scheduled to be launched in the ongoing month. The GoPro Hero 5 will most likely be released during the holiday season of the ongoing year.
