James McAvoy, who played the role of Professor X in the hit franchise X-Men, couldn’t stop gushing about the beautiful, naked body of Jennifer Lawrence.
McAvoy was there at the recently held Empire Awards, where he collected the award on behalf of X-Men: Days of Future Past for the Best Sci-fi Film. The clipping that is shown during the nomination didn’t even show Professor X, and that was when McAvoy joked about how Lawrence’s naked blue body completely stole the show from him.
After making a joke and praising Lawrence for her costume, McAvoy went on to tell that the X-Men films have been successful in creating fans who have fallen in love with the franchise and they will not let the fans down when they return in the summer with their next film, X-Men: Apocalypse.
Empire Awards was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, where Christopher Nolan, won the Best Director Award for Interstellar.
While Lawrence is being praised for her performance in X-Men, her upcoming movie with Bradley Cooper is up for some tough time from the critics. Directed by Danish director, Susanne Bier, Serena has not pleased critics. They are saying that the period drama has been miscast and misdirected. Bier, who has critically renowned films like Open Hearts and Things We Lost in the Fire, under her name, has got it all wrong from the first scene, this time round.
Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper seem to be awkward in their role of Serena and George Pemberton. The characters they are expected to portray doesn’t do any justice to the potential of these two actors. While Cooper’s George tries to build an empire out in nature, Lawrence’s Serena tries to dominate her husband.
Serena’s intimate scenes with George are uncomfortable to watch and sometimes even comical. The performance they are expected to deliver is better suited for burlesque actors and not such Hollywood A-list stars.
