Jaden Smith is an American actor and rapper who was born on July 8, 1998. He is the son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, both of whom are renowned actors in Hollywood. Jaden Smith’s first appearance on the big screen was in the movie Pursuit of Happiness in which he starred alongside his father.
Jaden Smith is recently making headlines by turning out in woman’s clothes. Apparently, the 17-year old actor believes that people should have the freedom to wear any clothes that they prefer. On numerous occasions Smith has been seen wearing a long skirt over his pants.
Smith is of the opinion that people should not be afraid of experimenting with fashion. While speaking to GQ style magazine, he sated- ‘I feel like people are kind of confused about gender norms.
He further added that he cannot find any difference between women’s and men’s clothes. According to him, gender specific clothes do not exist and people who do not wear women’s clothes are just afraid to experiment with style.
His weird choice in clothes has never been criticized by his parents Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. Instead the couple is reportedly proud that their son possesses a fearless attitude. it was previously stated by Will Smith that they always encourage their son in this regard.
He added that people should not be afraid of trying out new things. They should be comfortable in doing things for which they might be criticized by others. People should also have the courage to do things in which they might fail.
He pointed out that Jaden does not possess any fear and it is something that at times worries himself and Jada as parents. He added that his son does not care about what the world thinks about him. He referred to his son’s choices as artistic decisions and also said that Jaden was ready to live and die by them.
Just recently Jaden Smith turned out in a women’s jacket for the Louis Vuitton fall/winter 2016 fashion show which was held in Paris. The jacket that he wore was from the women’s section of Louis Vuitton’s fall/winter 2016 collection itself.
Jaden Smith was previously selected as the face of Louis Vuitton’s spring/summer 2016 women’s campaign. Nicolas Ghesquiere, the creative director for the campaign himself selected him for this. Renowned photographer, Bruce Weber was behind the camera to shoot for the campaign.
Smith dawned a fishnet woven top with tassels for the shoot. He also wore a moto jacket over his see-through top. For the lower part of his body, he wore an embellished skirt which matched with his upper body attire.
However, for a recent photoshoot for the cover page of British GQ Style magazine, the actor decided to give the women’s clothes a pass. He was seen wearing a white shirt and a pair of black trousers for the shoot.
He completed his classic look with a black skinny tie and a bomber jacket over his shirt. In the accessories department, the actor sported a pendant and large rings.
Another image from the shoot showed the 17-year old wearing a classic black blazer over a checked shirt. A beaded charm necklace and a large ring were the items of accessories in this particular photo. Smith looked quite ravishing in both the photos with his long hair tied up in deadlocks.
At the recent Louis Vuitton fall/winter 2016 fashion show, Smith was joined on the front row by renowned singer-songwriter Selena Gomez. Selena Gomez who has become a regular face at Louis Vuitton shows turned out in a crisp white shirt over a jeans skirt for the event.
