It will reportedly come with a metallic unibody design with the measurements of 153.9 x 75.9 x 8 mm and a weight of 170g or 6.00 oz. Overall, the device will have a sleek finish and will fit quite comfortably in a single hand.

It will sport a 5.5-inch screen with 1080p Full HD display and a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels with a pixel density of 401ppi.

Under its hood, the device will pack a powerful 64 bit MediaTek Helio MT6795T X10 chipset with a 2.2 GHz Octa-core CPU. The Octa-core processor will come paired with 3GB of RAM and a PowerVR G6200 GPU.

In the memory department, the device will come with 32GB of internal storage space which can be expanded up to 2TB using an external microSD card in the microSD slot of the smartphone.

The X9 feature a 13-megapixel camera on its back with a f/2.0 aperture and 27mm autofocus lens. Other key features of the primary camera include- Optical image stabilization, dual LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face deletion, panorama, and HDR. It will have the capability to record videos at 4K resolution. The camera will also have an option to shoot in RAW.

The optical image stabilization mode will come in handy for users who have unsteady hands. This feature brings about a sense of stability to the camera which ensures that the images captured by it are not blurry even if taken under unsteady circumstances.

The RAW feature will provide users with more scope to edit images at a later time by helping retain all the data in the image captured by the sensor.

A decent 5-megapixel camera on the front side could be used for video calling and taking selfies. The secondary camera will reportedly have an UltraPixel feature which will enable it to take images at much higher resolution and record videos at 1080p.

The developers have included Dual BoomSound Speakers with Dolby audio which is sure to churn out excellent quality sounds and music.

The device will be powered by a 3000mAh non-removable battery that will keep the device up and running throughout the day. The powerful battery will enable the device to provide 10 hours of HD video, 15 hours of 3G phone calls and 40 hours of music.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 will be included in the device’s connectivity features. A micro USB port will allow for its charging and transfer of data. The dual SIM slot of the device will enable users to remain connected to two cellular networks at the same time.

It will also feature GPS and FM Radio along with an accelerometer and proximity and compass sensors.

It was previously reported that the device will pack a fingerprint scanner for security purpose but apparently the claim was just a hoax as no the feature is nowhere to be found on the device.

The HTC One X9 will come with a moderate price tag of $370 which is a lot lesser than the last flagship device from HTC, the HTC One A9. The device will be first launched in China and it will bear a price of ¥2399 in that country. No specific details have been divulged by HTC regarding the possible release dates of the smartphone in other countries.

Though there has been no confirmation about the version of Android OS that the device will come with out of the box, it is being assumed that the X9 will run on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow combined with HTC’s own Sense UI 7.0 launcher.
